Marathon Runner Pints = £ for VICTA
It's London Marathon season, and we are very happy to once again this year be partnering with VICTA to raise some money for this excellent charity.
This month our seasonal brew was Marathon Runner, a full-flavoured 4.3% golden ale designed to refresh and reward, with 10p from every pint sold going to VICTA, who support children and young adults with sight loss.
And now, the final numbers are in, and they’re just as satisfying as a pint after 26.2 miles.
We've sold 11,376 pints of Marathon Runner, so thanks to you all of our enthusiastic supporters, we’ve been able to donate £1,137.60 to VICTA 🍻❤️
On marathon day itself, our MD Joe joined forces with our pals at the Red Lion in Dagnall to take on the London Marathon — all in support of VICTA.
The sun was out in force, and the temperature added an extra layer of challenge, but Joe crossed the finish line in an impressive 4 hours and 1 minute.
As his 7-year-old son was quick to point out “If only you’d run it one minute faster.” Indeed.
So well done Joe! And if you'd like to support, you can still get involved.
Donations are still open for Team Lions Brew & VICTA, and every pound goes towards helping young people with visual impairments. You can donate here by following this link.
Huge thanks to everyone who ordered a pint, cheered us on, or ran alongside with us.
See you next year!
